Although the concept of Maneki-Neko (Beckoning Cat) is thought to have originated out of Japan in the mid 19th century, maneki-neko figurines, such as this one, can be found throughout much of Asia. A “Beckoning Cat” is often seen on display in small businesses and near the till of proprietors conducting business. This very light weight beckoning cat comes from Singapore’s infamous China Town, and makes a great gift or collectable to anyone who is found of cats or is in need of a little extra good luck with their business venture.
This small Maneki-Neko gains its beckoning powers from the sun, moving its little chonky paw up and down in a beckoning motion over a Chinese gold ingot. A sign of certain good fortune to those who work diligently, this Beckoning Cat fits nicely on any small counter area or table as it summons good luck upon its owner and their place of business.

All right you two… I’m happy that you’ve gotten this far with your new start-up business, and I appreciate your entrepreneurial spirit, but YOU CAN’T JUST PUT MY PERSONAL STUFF UP FOR SALE ON YOUR WEBSITE. I went ahead and “bought” my Beckoning Cat back from you so that you can’t sell it to someone else. We’ll talk about this more when I get back from work, but I want you to know, I am not happy with where this is going and we need to have another talk about respecting other people’s personal items and personal space. I’m giving you two a 1 star on this whole thing. Oh, and you owe me $9.43!
